RE: Tax Calculation
Hi Mani K,
taxes are defined by assigning a tax group to a customer branch.
Customers -> Add/ Modify/ Delete customer branches
A tax group can consist of one or several taxes. So, first you have to create at least one tax rate:
Setup -> Tax authorities and rates maintenance
Then you have to create a tax group: Setup -> Tax Group Maintenance
After creating the Tax Group, you have to add at least one of the "tax authorities" you created earlier.
In the beginning, this may sound a little confusing, but it provides great flexibility to implement all kind of tax patterns into webERP. In Canada for example, in most provinces HST is used as sales tax, however, the rates can differ between the different provinces. Besides, one of the provinces does not charge HST, but TWO different taxes (PST and GST). With the flexibility in webERP it´s very easy to implement that.
I hope this helps. If you still find it hard, then please let us know how your tax system looks like, and we can guide you with the implementation.
