Weberp Security: Can These Be Done.
Hi,

Is it possible to restrict users to resd only access in weberp?

1. We want a situation where the supervisor can only view what the person authorised to post does but can't post into the system.

2. Can we restrict access for posting to previous months apart from current month such that approval will be required to allow for postings to previous months

Hi,

1. Yes - you can define access for each script individually, so the customer inquiry or GL inquiry screen can be different to the invoicing/receipt/journal posting screens.

2. Yes and no! There is a configuration option from the system parameters screen that prevents GL postings into prior periods. However, this simply means that back dated transactions will have the corresponding journal entry made in the current period. The configuration can only be accessed by someone with appropriate authority.

Thanks Phil.

But in the first case, can you shed a bit more light on how access for the different scripts can be modified the way you pointed out. thanks
