I read through alot of the manual, but couldn't figure this out. So I'm not sure if it is a bug, a feature request or a how to :-(
Now I created a whole new chart of accounts (Account Groups, Accounts).
for example
Group :
11 Fixed Assets
112 Other Assets
12 Current Assets
122 Banks
126 Inventory
Accounts :
1221 Bank 1 : Group : 122
1222 Bank2 : Group : 122
1261 Ineventory A : Group : 126
Now in TB I only see
Group 122 and Group 126 and a list of their accounts, but not the parent list 12.
Furthermore, I tried addiing an account to group 12, then it appeared in TB but didn't include 126 in its overall total.
In short, how can we get TB to show all account groups in order of parent-child hirearchy even if it doesn't have accounts? and why is it not showing totals for all accounts and sub accounts within the group?
Is the Current Assets Group defined as having no parent group?
Is the Banks Group and Inventory Group defined as being a child of the Current Assets group?

We need the screen for account groups setup and a TB
Okay, here you see the trial balance only showing direct parents (no grand parents).
Here you see definition of groups:
Here you see the current assets showing total under 121 cash, when I expected to be under 127 Other Assets.
Hope this helps.
