Hi all.

What is the RelatedItemsUpdate.php script used for?

I've not been able to find any info about it in the PDF manual or forum.

I am pretty sure it was Ricard that wrote this, not sure if he monitors this forum.

If I remember properly that script just maintains a table of stock items that are related to other stock items, and is used in the bridge to opencart. There are many potential uses for this functionality, just needs someone to write them

Yes, I wrote it for the webERP-Opencart bridge, but I guess there's no use in standard webERP.

As Tim points out, it could be used for multiple uses inside webERP, but so fa I only use it for OpenCart.

I was wondering about that :-)
I actually found a use for it: I created a custom field for our food items that is "ingredients". Some of our items come in different packaging (ex: retail and food service) but have the same ingredients. I'm going to create a little script that syncs the ingredient field in all related items when a change is made, that will avoid to re enter data in other members of the family every time an ingredient list is updated.
