[SOLVED] Is there a way to "bulk change" postings to a GL account?

Hi guys,

today I noticed that I've been posting our outgoing freight charges always to the wrong account.

I posted it to "6400 - Delivery Expenses", but it should have been "5600 - Freight Charges"

Would there be an "automagic" way to fix that? ("Accounts payable" and "HST" remain unaffected).

Hi Gert, simple answer is no. It would be possible at a database level to do that but the best advice is just to journal the amount from one account to the other.

Thank you very much for your reply. To be honest, I was tempted to make the changes directly in the database, but I wasn't sure if only one table was affected, or multiple, and eventually I didn't do it so I wouldn't create an even bigger mess.

But you clearly reduced my workload anyway! I was thinking of reverting all invoices, and re-entering them - but your idea is much better, I can just directly journal it from one account to the other.
