Integration with other accounting software
Hi everyone,

Newb here... I am starting a new business with the hopes of running WebERP that has a cart system integrated through a website. After reviewing the software with an accountant, some of the reports are not displayed in the manner we would like to have data displayed. Additionally, it lacks payroll. Rather than hiring someone to customise reports, is there any way to have WebERP communicate with other accounting software, ie QuickBooks? Any help is appreciated!

Joomla Mo has some type of cart integration working

The data in webERP is kept in MySQL tables. Report writers commonly support reading MySQL tables.
Here is one:

Payroll is a pain in the butt. I used to sell, support, and customize accounting software that included payroll. The government can change the rules without notice and many other features ie union dues, legal payroll deductions, pensions, auto deposit, and so on make it very complex. If you are just starting a business, use Paychex or one of their competitors as the time you save will pay for their service. Monthly payroll takes me 30 seconds with them today. Even with more employees the time savings is enormous. If you grow larger then use online payroll software where all the updates come as part of the deal. Here is one: http://payroll.intuit.com/ and there are competing vendors as well.

Tim has asked me to post this:

"I would either use a stand alone payroll system from one of the large vendors who can afford to keep the system up to date, or use one of the payroll bureaus who can do it for you. Then just post the payroll to webERP as a journal. If your business is big enough to have a need for a payroll system I would advise against quick books.

Thanks
Tim"
