Decimal Places
is there any danger of changing the number of decimal places of the base currency?
I noticed sometimes we have 4 decimal places in the database (Average cost for example) but it is shown rounded in the Item Master screen

RE: Decimal Places
In the scripts? Or in the interface - you can change in the currencies screen

RE: Decimal Places
You can't.
ERROR Message Report : The functional currency cannot be modified or deleted

You have to change it in the database directly and I just didn't know if it might bring up an issues

RE: Decimal Places
it would make a difference when selling large quantities at very low item prices.

e.g. 1000 small screws at 5 EUR per package, what is the price for 100 screws, 10000 screws?

If you sell 10 packages, it is ok, if you sell 5EUR/1000 * number of screws ordered, the no of decimal places is significant

RE: Decimal Places
Oh I see what you mean.
The cheeky way is to change the functional currency to another currency... go back into the currency maintenance screen change the decimal places then change the functional currency back again (in Company Preferences) Probably should be able to edit the number of dp
