how to enter qty with decimal

Hello there,

Can somebody help!, when I put Bill of material(BOM) there is a field for Quantity, How do I put quantinty with decimal plance, for example 0.25kg. When I put this it display zero.

You must define the component items with the number of decimal places you wish to display - in the set up of the items.
