Ah I see - the accounting for a contract ... well yes we can do this with contract costing.
You make up a contract for the service contract and the work done for the customer is issued to the contract. Then the annual billing is when the contract is invoiced and you can get a nice little comparison of the costs of the contract vs the revenue.
