The installer has an option to load demo data, and I think he has selected that.

I will speak to him and see if this si what he has done and post a reply in case anyone else is suffering from the same problem.

Well thank you Tim.

Apparently there is a small tick box that essentially if NOT unticked , loads up the examples.
Now re-installed and made sure tick box not ticked and all's well.
