There isa question my Boss has raised the present system Sage Pastel allows one to setup a component in the BOM more than once ie the same component with different quantities what is the effect if i can allow the same in weberp( especially in production and costing)?.

Hi Exson, there are a number of reasons why somebody might want this. Just as an example what if the same part was needed at different work centres during the manufacturing process.

Exsonqu_Qu the scinario is the same component is needed in the same product(parent) in different quantities at different production stages but i need to retain thwe full description of BOM quantities.

Hi guys this is what am thinking on this issue i can configure the products as different product / product variant of same product.
then i will create different BOM for them.
I can use finished product from 1st stage as BOM component of 2nd stage. Is this possible in weberp , how can i create Product varianties, i haveo solve it. not seen such setup in inventory, can somebody share a script to accomplish this or any alternative approach t
