I have built a webSHOP for webERP - it is small and compact and creates orders and takes payments creating all the transactions necessary inside webERP.

The interface is quite simple with pop ups for detailed information on the long description of an item and a larger picture for the items too.

All configuration is done inside webERP using the existing images in the webERP and using the sales categories defined in webERP. There is a new shop set up form under webERP->Setup.

The web-shop contains options to charge a variable surcharge for payments for the different types of payment. This surcharge manifests as an additional line in the sales order. The shop has payment gateways for PayPal, PayPal Pro and PayFlow Pro credit cards and also SwipeHQ credit cards (a much cheaper option for NZ)

There are changes inside webERP to allow item descriptions in multiple-languages too - the languages for which translations can be maintained are specified in the configuration now.

A picture says 1000 words so see the demo at:

I am looking to work with businesses to improve it so I would appreciate any feedback.
Hi Phil,

I have found the webSHOP settings and I am pretty comfortable with these. How does the end user access the Webshop (what is the URL within the directory) I am have a quick look and do not see any sub folder with the webshop.

I have a couple of companies that would benefit from this and would love to compare how it works against the Joomla integration.

Thanks

Peter
Hi Peter,
webSHOP does not come with webERP - it is an add on that I wrote.
You can test the demo at

http://www.weberp.org/webSHOP

folks look like they have removed items from the sales categories that are needed to be set up to display - together with pricing in the currency/sales type of the webSHOP default customer.

You can buy a licence to use and modify webSHOP from my installation of webSHOP

Hello Phil,
Does the web shop perform direct DB writes and reads on WebERP database or does it utilize the WebERP APIs?
Yes - direct DB access based on the configuration in config.php
the webSHOP scripts are expected to be in a directory alongside webERP
the path to the webERP is configurable in the webSHOP config.php - but it does not require the database credentials again - just the path to the webERP/config.php and the company database name.

I am looking for a web-based ERP software to use for a job shop. I would prefer a software that has bar code data collection and is integrated with QuickBooks online for accounted. We are a small shop so it would need Dissertation help to be affordable.

Hi Phil

what is this "default customer" that needs to be configured in order to have webshop to run? Can I choose a random existing customer in webERP or does it need to be a dummy account only dedicated to this purpose?

thanks!
Any existing webERP customer can be used - you can define inside webERP from the setup -> web-store configuration
Customers that create accounts are created as webERP customers.
